Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Registrar (holding the functional title of Project Administrator) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 492428), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, with at least 8 years' professional and managerial experience in family, social and/or health services. A Master’s degree in social sciences, social administration, or public health would be an advantage. Experience in IT project management, and experience in developing and managing multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral projects involving a large team (with not less than 15 team members), large number of NGOs and community partners specialized in family services and/or Information and Communication Technology applications would be advantages. An excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua) and a high level of communication, interpersonal and good computer literacy are essential. Applicants should be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility, and able to work independently and under immense pressure.
The appointee will report to the Principal Investigator and work closely with various parties, including the funder, academic and research staff members, government departments, NGOs, community partners, social service providers and technical professionals. He/She will administer a project on family services and Information and Communication Technology, oversee the strategic development and management of the project, conduct training and public education, participate in research activities, supervise research-support and clerical staff, and perform other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
