IT Assistant in the Faculty of Arts (Ref.: 494008) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance) 

Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, preferably with 1 year’s post qualification work experience in IT or a related field. They should have knowledge of web technologies (such as HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript); MS Windows, Mac OS and MS Office applications; design poster and knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator; installation and maintenance of computers and AV equipment. They should be good team players, self-motivated, able to work under pressure; and have a strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills. The appointee mainly will be responsible for technical assistance to staff members, maintenance of websites; troubleshooting and maintenance of the computing and AV facilities; and perform other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
