Programme Assistant (at the rank of Student Affairs Assistant I) in the Chong Yuet Ming Cultural Centre (CYMCC) of the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (Ref. 494138) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a diploma or above in Theatrical and Entertainment Arts, Event and Cultural Management or related subject(s), with at least 2 years' work experience in arts projects/events or related areas. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good general computer skills, good interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. They should also be self-motivated, dynamic and mature, and with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork. Knowledge of AutoCAD 2010 (or above), photography, video shooting and editing will be an advantage. Those with experience in theatre programme coordination is preferred. The appointee will be required to manage on-site operations and to coordinate events held at CYMCC including student theatrical technician training programmes; manage the Cultural Centre facilities including performing venues, exhibition areas and other peripheral facilities; liaise with contractors on maintenance work and perform other duties as assigned. He/She will take up shift duties in evenings, weekends and public holidays. The post is equivalent to the rank of Clerk II in The University. Those with less experience or qualifications may be appointed as Clerical Assistant.
