Assistant Project Officer (Mental Health Screening) (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Department of Psychiatry (Ref.: 201701760) (to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree or above in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Science, Medical Science or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ full-time work experience of which 1 year is in frontline service.  They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese; good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; be mature, flexible, passionate and committed; be a good team player and tactful in dealing with people; and be able to work under pressure and multitasking condition.  The appointee will participate in the project “Jockey Club Mental Wellness Project for Women” which is a 3-year comprehensive and eclectic project funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for women-in-need from disadvantaged background.  The project has community public awareness, screening, intervention, training, and research elements.  As members of a multi-disciplinary team based at the University of Hong Kong, they will work in partnership with three NGO partners and the Hospital Authority.  The project aims to develop a model of community women’s mental health that provides data and experience for future service development in Hong Kong.  The appointee will plan, coordinate, implement, and ensure quality assurance of community-based mental health screening of women-in-need.  He/She also will work with team members on the delivery of community screening to women-in-need, and perform other related duties as assigned.
