Project Officer (Mental Health) (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Department of Psychiatry (Ref.:201800009) (to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary)

Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work or a related discipline, with at least 5 years’ full-time work experience of which 3 years are in frontline service.  They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese; have good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; be mature, flexible, passionate and committed; be a good team player and tactful in dealing with people; and be able to work under pressure and multitasking condition.  The appointee will participate in the project “Jockey Club Mental Wellness Project for Women” which is a 3-year comprehensive and eclectic project funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for women-in-need from disadvantaged background.  The project has community public awareness, screening, intervention, training, and research elements.  As members of a multi-disciplinary team based in the University of Hong Kong, they will work in partnership with three NGO partners and the Hospital Authority. The project aims to develop a model of community women’s mental health that provides data and experience for future service development in Hong Kong. The appointee will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and quality assurance of community-based mental health screening of women-in-need.  He/She will also work with team members on the delivery of the screening to women-in-need, liaise and collaborate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth operation, prepare project-related materials and reports, and perform other related duties as assigned.
