Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer (holding the title of Project Manager) in the Faculty of Education, to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in education or related fields of study, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in the area of project management and curriculum development in school projects, preferably in Chinese language education. Those who possess a teacher’s license in Hong Kong with extensive teaching experience in primary/secondary schools, particularly in Chinese language subject and executive/professional training, are preferred. They should have a strong interest in technology-enhanced learning models and academic research (such as publications) and serving a supporting role in granted project. They should also have strong leadership; the ability to manage resources effectively; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua). Applicants with doctoral degree in education but with less working experience may be considered.

The appointee will work on the Quality Education Fund project entitled “Enhancing Language Education with Artificial Reality Neo-platform (eLEARN)”, and be primarily engaged in research and project management. He/She will also be responsible for developing research design and methods under the project. Duties include curriculum design and development, professional course promotion and marketing, day-to-day administration, and liaison with schools and professional bodies. The appointee will help with major middle- to large-scale project events with tasks such as room booking, registration, set up of venues, on-site technical supports, and helpers coordination. He/she will also help manage the mobile devices and other equipment for loan services to partnered schools, create and maintain project website/social media platform, and lead some of the meetings with schools to develop the eLEARN platform.
