Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Public Health, to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with a very strong background in infectious disease epidemiology, statistical inference, dynamical systems and computer programming. They should also have excellent communication skills, a strong record of research productivity, and the ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Applicants with more than two years of experience in infectious disease modelling will be considered favourably.  The appointee will focus on modelling the spread and control of a wide range of infectious diseases including influenza, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, and human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.  Information about the School can be obtained at   Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. Joseph Wu at
