Research Assistant I (2 posts) in the Center for Safe Medication Practice and Research of the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: ­­­­­­­­­­­­201800114) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess postgraduate qualifications in Pharmacy, Public Health, Biostatistics, Health Economics, Computer Science or a related healthcare discipline. They should have experience in data management, excellent communication and project management skills, statistical skills to conduct standard statistical analysis of economic and/or epidemiological data and correct interpretation of results, and be attentive to details.  Experience in management of large data sets and complex analysis using R, SAS or other software will be an advantage. The appointees will retrieve and process data from HA hospitals and other databases, prepare and manage submission to IRBS, and assist in the implementation of research projects in Hong Kong and/or mainland China. Training and career development opportunities will be provided in scientific grant writing, manuscript preparation, and advanced methods on pharmacoeconomics and/or pharmaepidemiology in areas such as cardiology, gastroenterology, neuropsychiatry, antimicrobials and endocrinology.  Information about the Centre is available at http://www.pharma.hku.hk/sweb/CSMPR/.
