Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Registrar/Administrative Assistant I (holding the functional title of Project Administrator) in the School of Public Health, to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field, with at least 8–10 years' professional and managerial experience in family, social and/or health services, and experience in IT project management.  An excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, and good computer literacy are essential.  Applicants should be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and be able to work proficiently with complete independence and under immense pressure.  A Master’s degree in Social Administration/Public Health and experience in developing and managing large scale innovative, multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral project initiative involving a large executive team (with not less than 15 team members), large number of NGOs and community partners specialized in family services and/or Information and Communication Technology applications would be advantages.  The appointee will report to the Principal Investigator and work closely with various parties, including the funder, academic and research staff members of the project, government departments, NGO managers/supervisors, community partners and other divisions/teams, to administer the implementation of various components of the project on family service and Information and Communication Technology.  Responsibilities included, but not limited to, project strategic development and management; collaboration with social service providers and technical professionals on community projects and technical system development; training and public education; participation in research activities; liaison with Government, NGOs, and related organizations; supervision of junior administrative, executive, research-related and clerical staff; and any other duties as assigned.  Those with less qualification and/or work experience may be appointed as Administrative Assistant I.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend interview(s).  Applicants who have responded to the previous advertisements (Ref.: 201700866 & 201701536) need not re-apply.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  For Assistant Registrar, housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
