Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Department of Surgery (Ref.:201800170) (to commence as soon as possible for one to two year(s), with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess an M.Phil. degree in Molecular Biology or Developmental Biology, with good experience in molecular biology, cell culture and animal handling.  Experience in stem cell culture and cell sorting or animal study using transgenic mouse models is strongly preferred.  Those with basic knowledge of neurobiology would have an advantage.  The appointees should be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team.  Being members of a multidisciplinary research team, they will work on research projects related to stem cell biology and neurogenic disorders.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointments on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
