Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Manager (Media) (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I (AAI))/Manager (Media) (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II (AAII)) in the Communications and Public Affairs Office of the Registry, to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a good University degree, or an equivalent professional qualification, preferably in journalism, communication or public administration, with not less than 8 years’ experience in dealing with media, social media, opinion leaders, policy makers and social groups.  An excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese is a prerequisite.  Ability to speak Putonghua is a definite advantage.

The appointee will assist the Director of Communications in the formulation of the University’s strategic communication plans.  He/She will be responsible for raising the profile and enhancing the reputation of the University through effective engagement with local and international media.  Assisting faculties and departments in communicating profiles of achievement to the public will also be a key responsibility.  The appointee will also be involved in extensive relationship-building with University and community stakeholders.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointee will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for AAI, and 10% of basic salary for AAII.
