Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in Religion and Globalization in the Asia Global Institute, to commence on April 1, 2018, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal. 

The Asia Global Institute (AGI) generates and disseminates innovative thinking, and business-relevant research on global issues from Asian perspectives. It aims to inform global policy and actions towards a prosperous and sustainable future for all.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Religious Studies, as well as a good record of research and teaching in anthropology and religious studies at tertiary level. The appointee will be required to take up the Religion and Globalization research project of the Institute, and undertake teaching and other teaching program administrative duties as identified by the Director of the Institute.   

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, in addition to annual leave  and medical benefits.
