Part-time Data Analyst (at the rank of IT Officer/IT Technician) in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (Ref.201800218) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline; 5-8 years’ work experience in data analytics, system development and machine learning; and experience in programming language, e.g. R, SAS and Python. Those with a Master’s degree or higher academic background, familiarity with Big Data and/or Data Warehousing, e.g. Hadoop, Spark, and SQL, and who are immediately available are preferred. The appointee will be responsible for developing statistical models and machine learning algorithms for analyzing and identifying the patterns and trends of suicidal behaviours.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
