The Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine is seeking high-calibre candidates to join the Emergency Medicine Unit (EMU) with the mission to advance the discipline through innovative education, research and clinical practice. A major focus of this Unit concerns disaster preparedness and response, particularly the clinical aspects of such.

Applications are invited for the following posts:

Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 201800221) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal; or to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above with at least 1 year’s relevant work experience, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), effective organizational and communication skills, IT proficiency, a strong sense of responsibility, and be able to work independently and multi-task. Preference will be given to those with experience in conducting academic research/e-learning projects in clinical/community settings. Experience in and/or knowledge of healthcare and design software would be an advantage. Those with lower academic qualifications and/or less work experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant II. The appointees will organize, carry out and coordinate clinical research/e-learning projects and related activities, liaise with project collaborators and partners, perform data management and analysis, prepare curriculum and reports, and provide administrative and technical support for the EMU.
