Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 201800260) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary; or to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ work experience. Knowledge on multilevel modeling and ability in self-learning new statistical techniques would be an advantage. Applicants should have a strong quantitative background; experience in analysis of epidemiological data using R, STATA, SAS or other statistical packages; and the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. They should also be responsible, mature, and attentive to detail, with good written and oral communication skills. Those with less experience may be appointed as Research Assistant I/II. The appointees will work on a large population-based cohort with over 46,000 participants in 20,000 households and be primarily responsible for applied epidemiological and/or statistical research. They will conduct statistical analyses, generate tables and figures, draft method and result sections for publications or other reports, and perform any other duties as assigned.
