Applications are invited for appointment as Marketing Director (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I (AAI))/Assistant Marketing Director (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II (AAII)) in the Faculty of Business and Economics, to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

To cope with its strategic development and expansion, the Faculty of Business and Economics is now seeking high caliber candidates to support its marketing and promotion campaigns.  Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with at least 12 years’ work experience, out of which at least 5 years should be in the field of management/public relation/marketing in the tertiary education or communications sector.  Applicants with a Master’s degree in business-related disciplines are preferred.  They should be strong team builders and outcome-driven leaders, with good connection with the professional community and industry.  They should also be innovative and possess strategic thinking and effective organization skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver high quality outputs under tight deadlines.  Other expected attributes of applicants include: outstanding command of written and spoken English and preferably Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese), high level of computer proficiency, as well as sound interpersonal and communication skills.  A solid understanding of the higher education sector in business will definitely be an advantage.  Applicants with less experience will be considered for the position as AAII.  

The appointee will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing and promotion initiatives for the Faculty.  He/She will actively build up the Faculty’s branding and reputation as well as further its external outreach via scholarly undertakings, including but not limited to academic programmes, executive education, research, and knowledge  exchange.  Frequent travelling and weekend work may be required.     

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for AAI, and 10% of basic salary for AAII.
