Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 201800563) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. Experience in handling animal specimens, performing nucleic acid extraction, and handling RNA samples for RT-PCR tests and viral culture would be an advantage. The appointee will work in a research group led by Professor Malik Peiris for studying respiratory viruses mainly using molecular biology methods.
