Research Assistant I/II in the AIDS Institute of the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 201800570) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or equivalent. They should also have good computer knowledge, self-motivation, and experience in performing routines and thorough laboratory bookkeeping. Experience in laboratory work with molecular biology, virology, immunological assays, primary cell culture, handling of small animals and BSL-3 techniques would be an advantage. The appointee will work on laboratory research under the supervision of a Principal Investigator of the Institute. Research areas include: Assessment of AIDS Vaccine, Understanding HIV Pathogenesis, and Drug Discovery and New Vaccine Design.
