Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the School of Biomedical Sciences, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the relevant disciplines in molecular biology or biomedical sciences.  They should have at least 3 years’ postdoctoral research experience, with a track record of high quality impactful research as indicated by publications and research grants.  They should also have demonstrated abilities in student supervision and team work. Preference will be given to those with expertise in mouse models of human diseases, neuroscience or cell biology.  The appointee will work on mammalian developmental genetics in the research team. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
