Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer (holding the title of Project Manager) in the Faculty of Social Sciences, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in Psychology, Counselling or Social Work practice and eight years’ work and/or research experience in project management.  They should be familiar with the development, implementation and evaluation of complex interventions using randomised-controlled trials methodology. Preference will be given to those who have experience in working with families of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and developmental delays; and who are familiar with the cutting-edge, evidence-based practice on ASD, developmental delays and caregiver-skill training programmes.  The appointee will oversee the overall administration and personnel management of the programme, including maintaining the programme accounts and coordinating the preparation of reports, publicity, recruitment of programme staff and other activities in relation to the programme.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
