Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 201800765) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, preferably in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, language or other related disciplines, with at least 4 years' work experience in PR, media-relations, event management or brand building.  Work experience in the tertiary education sector, media and/or PR agencies would be an advantage.  Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); effective organizational, communication and problem-solving skills; and an appropriate level of IT skills.  They are also expected to be a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and the ability to multi-task.

The appointee will be responsible for handling media relations and pitching; organizing faculty press events/activities; liaising and coordinating with internal staff and outside parties such as professional bodies, PR and advertising agencies; preparing press releases and other promotional materials to promote specific courses/events; and performing other duties as assigned.  Working outside normal office hours may be required.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
