Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant II in the School of Biological Sciences (Ref.: 201800777) (to commence as soon as possible for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal)
 
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Education, Child Development, Food Science, Psychology or related fields.  A higher degree in Psychology, Education or Humanities with at least 1 year of research experience would be a definite advantage.  Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; good interpersonal and organizational skills; a strong sense of responsibility; ability to work independently and learn fast; and attention to details.  Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SPSS, and basic statistic methods are required.  Preference will be given to those with sound knowledge and research skills, particularly, qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills; experience in project coordination; and those who have an interest in further related studies.  The appointee will work within a highly innovative project “Promoting healthy lifestyle (eating habits, active playtime) in 2-4 years old children, through Connecting to Nature”; conduct playing sessions; recruit and maintain contact with the families; conduct surveys and interviews; collect data; prepare reports; and provide other secretarial and research support as assigned.
