Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 201800812) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the  possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline; proficiency in written and oral communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese); skills in analytical evaluation and generation of practical solutions; as well as the ability to work independently and in a team. Those with post-qualification work experience in social sciences research projects and knowledge of data analysis are preferred.  Applicants with more research and supervisory experience and strong academic background may be considered for the post of Senior Research Assistant.  The appointee will assist Project Directors in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities on elderly mental health services; oversee data collection and drafting reports; and perform other duties as assigned. He/She will have ample opportunities to work with Social Workers, mental health professionals, and other stakeholders in the local community.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on two-year fixed-term basis will attract contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
