Temporary IT Officer/Senior IT Assistant in the Faculty of Arts (Ref.: 201800829) (to commence as soon as possible for 1 year) 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related discipline, with 3 years' relevant work experience.  They should have in-depth knowledge of MS Windows, Linux Server administration, SQL Server and MySQL database server administration; hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining Windows based workstations; extensive knowledge of web-based applications design and development using ASP (IIS) and PHP; good interpersonal skills; and high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.  They should also be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and be able to work independently to meet tight deadlines. 

The appointee will be responsible for IT solutions and support to the Faculty's student management and curriculum development initiatives.  He/She will provide support and enhancement to various web-based applications and materials, the automation of administrative operations and the design and administration of online surveys.  He/She will also be responsible for the set-up, administration and repair of the Faculty's computing and AV facilities, the maintenance of the Faculty's website, technical support to the staff members, strategic projects of the Faculty and perform any other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.  Those with less qualification and/or work experience may be appointed as Senior IT Assistant.  Applicants who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 201800548) need not re-apply.
