Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 201800904) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Statistics, Biological/Medical Sciences, Nursing, or a related discipline, and at least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in clinical or health-related research projects. They should have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); good understanding of social sciences research; strong commitment to high quality research; excellent project management and communication skills; and a proactive problem-solving approach. They should also be responsible, mature, and able to work independently and in a team. Applicants who have experience in counselling or psychological consultation will have an advantage. The appointee will assist in proposal or report writing, project management, development of health education materials, training/teaching activities, data collection and statistical analysis in practice-based research projects.  Irregular working hours will be required occasionally.   Those with less experience may be appointed as Research Assistant I.
