Part-time Research Assistant I (two posts) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 201800932) (to commence as soon as possible for 6 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Education, Mathematics, Psychology, or a related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); good knowledge of Chinese word processing; good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; and a strong sense of responsibility.  They should also be able to work independently and in a team.  Fresh graduates with relevant experience and good academic performance are also welcome.

The appointees will work on the project "A Proportional Reasoning Assessment for Hong Kong Secondary School Students."  The project, led by Prof. Jimmy de la Torre of the Faculty of Education, aims to measure the skills that secondary school students need to master to be proficient in the area of proportional reasoning.  They will conduct interviews with participants, implement assessment programmes, and perform transcription, data entry and analysis.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
