Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Editorial Assistant) in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Ref.: 201800935) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

Applicants should have a recognized Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' relevant work experience, preferably with exposure in handling journal publications.  They should also have a strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication and organizational skills; effective time management skills; and the ability to multi-task.  They should be a good team player and be attentive to details.  The appointee will assist the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editors of Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery in all matters related to the journal; handle manuscripts via the web-based scholar one system; manage communications with Editors, Deputy Editors and reviewers; answer queries from authors; provide secretarial support to the editorial board; and perform other duties as assigned.
