Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer (RO)/Assistant Research Officer (ARO) in the School of Public Health, to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research (Ph.D., D.Sc., Dr.P.H. or equivalent) in statistics and mathematical modelling, or public health and health policy. Those with hands-on experience in health economics, labor/workforce economics and projections would be highly desirable. The appointee will be primarily responsible for developing simulation models for health care workforce planning and forecasting.  He/She will also be required to collect and analyze data, produce reports, provide support to the daily operation of the team, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisors.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for RO, or up to 10% of basic salary for ARO.  For RO, housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
