Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Ophthalmology (Ref.: 201800985) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above with a good track record in biological sciences, biomedical sciences or biochemistry. They should have work experience in at least one of the following areas: confocal imaging, animal behavioural tests in cognitive and motor functions, animal surgery, primary neuronal cultures, biochemical assays, Western-blot analysis, or histology. They should also be energetic and driven with good communication skills. The appointee will work on a project of axonal neurodegeneration related to mitochondria dysfunction and/or retinal neuroprotection in experimental animal models. Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 201800768) need not re-apply.
