Senior Research Assistant in the Division of Breast Surgery of the Department of Surgery (Ref.: 499261) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or above in in nursing, counselling, biology, medical science, social science, public health or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ experience in a medicine-related field. They should have good computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and preferably SPSS. Experience in preparing study updates and slide presentation for conferences and scientific meetings will be an advantage.

The appointee will conduct research projects independently. He/She will coordinate clinical trials, prepare study proposals and reports, manage clinical databases, collect data, contact patients, assist in blood collection, handle clinical specimens, and perform medical record retrieval and assessments. They will be given opportunities to work with international and China collaborators on the studies and training of genetics counselling. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
