IT Officer/Technical Officer in the Technology-Enriched Learning Initiative (Ref.: 499567) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline. They should have good knowledge in server infrastructure, both on commercial cloud (IaaS) and on-premises; solid experience on Linux server administration and shell scripting. Experience with the latest deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes would be an advantage. They should also have good problem-solving skills, communication skills and the ability to perform critical tasks under tight schedule.
The appointee will perform a full range of project support to the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project, with an aim to promote family well-being by leveraging Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for innovative family services. He/She will be responsible for infrastructure design; carrying out server administrative and operational tasks such as incident handling and disaster recovery; and preparing technical documentation of the systems. Those with less qualification and experience may be considered for the post of Technical Officer. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
