Assistant Director – Recruitment for EMBA-Global Asia and MBA programmes (holding the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref: 499871) (to commence from as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

To cope with its strategic development and expansion, the Faculty of Business and Economics (HKU Business School) is now seeking high caliber candidates in the business development and student recruitment for its EMBA-Global Asia and MBA programmes. 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably a Master’s degree in business-related disciplines, with at least 10 years’ work experience preferably in the field of business development and/or student recruitment.  They should be outcome-driven professionals who have the ability to identify and generate leads, excellent networking skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives as well as younger talented professionals.

The appointee will play a central role in recruiting high-caliber applicants for primarily EMBA programme (a joint partnership between HKU, London and Columbia Business School), and other MBA programmes. They should have the ability to work independently in a proactive manner and conduct student recruitment events such as  information sessions, admissions talks, Skype chats, fairs, webinars and campus visits to recruit quality candidates.  A strong ability to deliver effective presentations to a large audience along with skills to conduct small group chats and reach-out events is required. This role requires regular travel and work on weekends during the recruitment cycle.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
