Technical Manager (several posts) in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 501722) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biomedical Science or a related discipline, with at least 4 years’ experience in the fields of synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, bioinorganic chemistry and/or chemical biology. Experience in preparing grant applications, managing externally funded projects and training research staff would be an advantage. Applicants should also have good organization and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team of multi-disciplinary areas. The appointees will participate in the ITC project and join the Laboratory led by Professor Chi-Ming Che which integrates chemical science and biomedical science for the development of new molecular medicines and diagnostics tools for the treatment and analysis of human diseases with a focus on cancer. They will provide operational support to research projects, provide technical training to research staff, manage laboratory equipment and resources, prepare project reports and publications, and perform other managerial duties as assigned. Working off-campus may be required.
