Research Assistant II in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 502273) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance) 

Applicants should possess a B.Sc. degree or above in Chemistry with a strong background and experience in molecular synthesis.  They should have proficiency in written and spoken English, a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational skills, and ability to work independently.  The appointee is expected to synthesize and purify N-heterocycles and organic ligands and characterize them using NMR, IR, and ESI-MS.  He/She will work in an interdisciplinary project related to bioinorganic and bioanalytical chemistry.
