Clerk II in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 502668) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience; OR a recognized Bachelor’s degree, with at least 1 year’s clerical experience preferably in tertiary institutions. They should also have proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good time management with initiative; good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with IT proficiency; the ability to handle complex tasks; and be self-motivated and attentive to details.
The appointee will assist in administering innovation research projects and an exhibition centre, including but not limited to day-to-day operations and paper work for the research projects, logistical and receptionist services for the exhibition centre, and other general administrative duties as assigned. He/She may be required to work off-campus, work outside normal office hours and on weekends. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
