Research Assistant I (holding the functional title of Project Manager) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 502724) (to commence as soon as possible for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Education, Environmental Sciences, Social Science or a related discipline; 3 years’ post-qualification experience in education; familiarity with local education policies; and demonstrated interest in environmental education. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); proficiency in MS Office applications (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint); good communication, interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills; and the ability to work independently and as a team. Preference will be given to those who have experience in cross-disciplinary research projects.
The appointee will work for a joint Faculty project on environmental sustainability education in Hong Kong, and assist the Project Investigators to oversee the development and operation of professional development programmes and learning and teaching resources. He/She will perform school visits, conduct research and evaluation, make recommendations to improve the professional development plans, organise and oversee professional development exchanges, workshops and seminars for in-service teachers, contribute in knowledge dissemination sessions, prepare reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
