Part-time Student Research Assistant (several posts) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 502918) (to commence as soon as possible for three months, with the possibility of renewal)
The Reading and Learning Lab (RL Lab) is recruiting Research Assistants to collect and analyze brain EEG data and developing Brain Computer Interface (BCI). RL lab is a neuroscience laboratory with focused research on how the brain signals reflect the neural cognitive processes underlying reading, learning and other complex cognitive activities. Brain EEG data is the electrical signals collected from the scalp in a non-harmful way. The collected signals are correlated with the brain’s cognitive activities.
Applicants should be 1) undergraduate students in any discipline; 2) having proficient programming skills, preferably Matlab and Python.
The appointees will assist in collecting and processing brain EEG data from human participants, developing BCI systems. Training will be provided. Those who are interested in learning and doing cognitive research may be provided with the opportunities to participate in research.
