Research Assistant II in the Department of Psychology (Ref.: 503014) (to commence on February 16, 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences or a related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; strong communication skills; basic knowledge in using statistical software such as SPSS and R; be self-motivated and have a good sense of responsibility; and be able to work independently and as a team. Those with experience in working with children and developing mobile applications are preferred.
The appointee will work on a project on the development of a comprehensive assessment system for identifying and supporting children with mathematics learning difficulties. He/She will be responsible for literature review; preparation of assessment and intervention materials; liaison with external parties; coordination of data collection activities; conducting assessment with children; supervision of research interns; data processing, and other research-related duties as assigned.
