Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Microbiology (Ref: 503088) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in Biological/Biomedical Sciences or related fields. They should have proven research track-record with at least 5 years’ laboratory experience; and extensive knowledge in research and development, specimen processing, next generation sequencing, third generation sequencing and bioinformatics. They should also have a strong sense of responsibility; good organizational skills; and the ability to multi-task, and work independently as well as in a team. The appointee will be involved in clinical research projects related to emerging infectious diseases under the supervision of Dr. Kelvin To.
