Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) (2 posts) in the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 503728) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with at least 2 years’ work experience in accounting or financial management. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; IT proficiency; and the ability to work independently with initiative. Those with work experience in tertiary institutions/large organizations, and knowledge of using Oracle Financials system would have a definite advantage.
The appointees will handle various executive and administrative tasks including processing payment vouchers and purchase orders; procurement and accounting; assist in the administration of funding schemes and preparing statistics/annual financial reports. They will also assist in the Departmental activities and events, and perform other duties as assigned. Working outside normal office hours and on weekends may be required occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and an interview.
