Senior Research Assistant (several posts) in Jockey Club Institute of Cancer Care, LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 503928) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary)
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Psychology, or a related social sciences discipline, with relevant work experience in managing health service research projects. They must be proficient in statistical analysis commonly used in psychology and social sciences. Substantive work experience focusing on psycho-oncology would be highly desirable. Applicants should be mature, attentive to details, able to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team; and have a strong sense of responsibility, and excellent communication and computer skills.
The appointees will join the Jockey Club Institute of Cancer Care team to develop and conduct evidence-based supportive cancer care services. They will assist in managing and coordinating research-related activities. The appointees will have the opportunity to develop skills in conducting randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews focusing on psychosocial interventions, in writing research grant proposals and/reports and academic publications, and in advanced statistical methods and qualitative analysis.
