Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 503949) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Microbiology, Biomedical/Biological Sciences or related disciplines. Experience in cell culture, virus culture, molecular cloning, protein expression, western blot assay, ELISA assay, confocal microscope, and mouse animal work is preferred. Applicants should have good interpersonal and organizational skills, and proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Those who have an interest in pursuing postgraduate studies are welcome. The appointee will conduct research on cell culture, protein expression, viral culture, animal and antiviral experiments including but not limited to influenza and SARS-CoV-2 in biosafety level 2 and level 3 laboratories under the supervision of Dr. Richard Yi Tsun Kao.
