Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 504760) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in science, biology, medical sciences, or related disciplines, with experience in bioinformatics and next-generation sequencing data analysis. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). They should be a good team player with passion and self-initiative in research. Knowledge of wet- and dry-lab skills, and experience in analysing large-scale whole-genome sequencing data and/or metagenomics sequences of gut microbiome are highly preferred. Research experience in microbiome, microbial genomics and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is desirable. The appointees will assist in data analysis for microbiome and AMR research at Dr. H.M. Tun’s laboratory.
