Clinical Research Associate (at the rank of Senior Research Assistant) (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 508179) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in biological/medical/life sciences, clinical research management, quality management or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in clinical research monitoring, management or operations. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulations of clinical trials are necessary. Applicants should also have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to quality and compliance; and good coordination, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. They should be detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
The appointees will support a busy research team on quality management duties. They will (i) manage applications and approvals with regulatory authorities; (ii) liaise with ethics committees; (iii) develop and maintain standard operating procedures; (iv) coordinate project teams, external collaborators, and audits/inspections; (v) monitor clinical studies by conducting internal QC and preparing data monitoring reports; and (vi) perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
