Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related discipline, and be registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants should also be organized, responsible, team-oriented, patient, and skilled in phlebotomy. Experience in clinical research and fieldwork would be advantageous.
The appointees will work on a community-based research project as part of the ‘Healthy Human Global Project’ and the FAMILY Cohort overseeing the operation of the study site. They will assist in formulating the standardized operating procedures (SOPs); collect clinical specimens including blood, nasopharyngeal swabbing and stool of community-based, ambulatory and well volunteers; perform basic clinical examinations including electrocardiogram; conduct medical questionnaires and assessments; provide support to the clinicians during physical examinations; and supervise and train junior research staff members; and perform other duties as assigned.
