Senior Technical Officer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 508886) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in public health or other healthcare-related disciplines, with at least 1 year’s post-qualification research experience and some project coordination and management experience. They should have excellent analytical and communication skills, a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin), and a keen interest in the fields of epidemiology and public health. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently and in a team. Experience in running elderly vaccination projects and randomized controlled trials, and/or certification in venipuncture would be advantages.
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in managing clinical research projects. He/She will liaise with study collaborators and regulators, recruit subjects, conduct health education, collect and analyse data, draft reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
