Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 508912) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in public health, nursing, preventive medicine, or a discipline related to biomedical science. They should be responsible, self-motivated, detail-minded, and able to work independently as well as in a team. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), and a keen research interest in epidemiology and public health. Knowledge of antimicrobial resistance and experience in conducting fieldwork are highly preferred. Relevant research experience would be an advantage. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant II.

The appointees will assist in a range of ongoing community field studies. They will recruit participants, conduct health education, collect samples, analyse data, and perform other duties as assigned. Irregular working hours may be required. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
