Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer (two posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 511293), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research in global health and development, international and regional studies, medical anthropology or a related discipline, with at least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience. High proficiency in English and good mentoring skills are essential. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to and evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. A portfolio of programme administration, curriculum design and delivery, production of teaching materials, supervision of teaching practice, quality assurance, and/or student supervision is highly preferred.

The appointees will coordinate academic curriculum of education programmes, including BASc(GHD) and MPH modules. They will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in globalization, global governance and policy setting, health system and financing, planetary health and other related fields; and perform other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
