Part-time Phlebotomist (at the rank of Laboratory Assistant) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 519008) (to commence as soon as possible for 3 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have completed Form 5 and be a registered phlebotomist in Hong Kong, preferably with at least one year’s experience in phlebotomy. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and good interpersonal and communication skills. They should be responsible, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. A certificate in phlebotomy and experience in clinical research work are highly preferred.
The appointee will assist in the ‘Healthy Human Global Project – Hong Kong’. He/She will collect blood samples from study participants at the designated research clinic, handle biological specimens of participants, and perform other research duties as assigned. He/She will work during daytime on weekdays for no more than 29 hours per week, and may work outside normal office hours or on weekends occasionally.
