Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 519848) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health or related disciplines.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication skills; and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.  Preference will be given to those with a track record of implementing and evaluating intervention in elderly services and residential setting.  Solid statistical background and experience in handling quantitative research with STATA or SPSS would be distinct advantages.  Those with a Master's degree in the aforementioned disciplines with 3 years’ post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

The appointee will participate in intervention evaluations on gerontechnology in elderly and rehabilitation settings.  He/She will conduct literature review; liaise with social service partners; perform quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis; and prepare reports and publications.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to Dr. Derek Cheung at derekcheung@hku.hk.
